Saturday, August 14, 2010 - Kevin had his annual doctors visit at Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, August 12th.  Kevin has grown 4 to 5 inches since his last visit to the doctor. Therefore, he is having more trouble walking. The built-up shoe that he has had in the past is no longer adequate. Since Kevin is still growing, and for the most part he is not in any pain, the doctor does not want to do any surgery yet.

The hospital is going to build a brace for Kevin's left leg. It will take 4 to 6 weeks for the brace to be made. We will return to Honduras with Kevin this week. Then, Jeannell and Kevin will come back to the states for the brace to be fitted on September 20, 2010. Kevin will also have physical therapy during this time. Kevin will need to return to Scottish Rite in the spring for another check up with the doctor and the orthopedic technician. 

We are pleased with the prospect of getting a brace to help Kevin walk better.  Again, thank you for all your prayers and support for Kevin.
