We have a terrific team of four dedicated couples who give their lives and hearts as a sacrifice to the work here at Por Los Niños. Each of these couples has a beautiful story and a true commitment to the children that live in their homes. The House Parents work as a team to make sure the Por Los Niños kids are nurtured physically, spiritually, emotionally and academically. They are an integral part of what makes this organization work, and we are grateful for the experience, wisdom and unconditional love they bring to their work.

Armando and Rosmery are our house parents in Por Los Niños, House 1. They both grew up in Catacamas. Armando worked in business before joining us at Por Los Niños. Rosmery's parents were some of the first House Parents at Por Los Niños back in 1993. Rosmery is taking night classes at the high school and wants to manage her own shop some day in the future. They have two children, Andree and Abi. They are doing an excellent job with the children at Por Los Niños House 1.

Jorge and Olga have been at the village since 1995. As every team has an anchor, Jorge is the Por Los Niños village anchor. Jorge and Olga serve as house parents for House 2, our new transitional living home. Because of his long time service with the organization, Jorge is looked to as a leader mentor by the other house parents. He oversees many of the administrative responsibilities here at the village.

Edgar and Elda came to Por Los Niños in 2005. Previously, they lived in the rural mountain region of Honduras. Edgar had never had electricity before they moved to the village. They are the house parents for House 3. Edgar went to a local Bible college. He is a wonderful gardener. Both Edgar and Elda love to take care of the village chickens. They teach the children about agriculture and taking care of animals. Edgar reads to the kids of his house every night.

Walter and Lilian joined us in the fall of 2010. They are dedicated parents. They brought a sense of order and calm to the boy-heavy group living in Por Los Niños House 4. Lilian and Rosmery (the House Mother at House 1) are sisters. Walter is studying for his bachelors degree and Lilian is getting her certification to become a teacher. They are a wonderful couple, and a great blessing to the children in their home.
