Born in 1995

Sinia has a very calming and gentle personality. She loves to help her House Mother around the house. Sinia enjoys learning how to cook. She and Ericka Maria are the best of friends. Sinia loves to look after her younger sister Saira.

Bio

Sinia came to Por Los Niños at age 5.  She entered the home in January of 2001 after her fathers death due to a snake bite. The family lived in a small, one room hut made of sticks and mud. It was the size of a small bathroom. They lived in extreme poverty. There was no electricity and water had to be carried from a nearby stream.  

Unable to provide sufficient nourishment and care for her 8 children since the death of her husband, Sinia's mother came to Por Los Niños for help. She was desperate and afraid. She sent Sinia to Por Los Niños, and left her other children under the care of her child.

Upon admission to Por Los Niños, Sinia suffered from malnutrition, parasites, anemia and chronic pain in her joints. Today she is a healthy and happy girl. She was joined by her younger sister, Saira, in 2005. The two are happy to be together.

Sinia is quickly becoming a young woman. She loves to learn new things and enjoys practicing English. She takes good care of the younger children in her home.
