Who Are We?

Family Life Missions (FLM) has been a longstanding work
based in Catacamas Honduras. We operate the Por Los
Niños Children’s Homes in one of the poorest countries in
the western  hemisphere. In Honduras, the average family
has about four children and the  age of the population at
large is fifteen years old. In Honduras, around 50 percent of
households live in poverty, and 30 percent in extreme
poverty. Most of the poor live in rural areas where over 80%
live without clean water or sanitary facilities. Education is
also a factor in Honduras as 83% of the population do not
receive more than a third grade education.

Despite not having many material things, the Hondurans
are warm, friendly, and generous. In fact, many of us would
do well to learn from the Honduran people and have their
spirit of thankfulness and generosity.

Our Goal is to raise self-sufficient,
Honduran Christian Leaders!

Religion that God our
Father accepts as pure and
faultless is this: to look after
the homeless and widows in
their distress and to keep
oneself from being polluted
by the world.
James 1:27

Today, we think of the word
orphan in a limited sense of
a child whose parents are
dead. The Greek word,
however,  had a broad
meaning of a child who had
been deprived of one or
more parents due to death,
abandonment or another
situation.

Family Life Missions was

This means all donations are tax
deductible.
