Yulisa has adopted Joel and Suyapa as her family very quickly. She was afraid and uncertain at first, but now she’s happy
all the time. She loves her new home, new family, and new lifestyle at Por Los Niños. She was able to begin kindergarten
classes even though the school year had already begun when she came to us. Letty cut her hair and she seems to like it a
lot now that it is shorter.

Yulisa entered Por Los Niños, Cottage 4 on March 30, 2009. She is 4 years old. Her birthday is May 9, 2004.
Yulisa has an older brother (7) who lives with their mother.
Yulisa’s mother is Magda Lenor Carrasco Martinez. She is unemployed. Yulisa’s father is Roberto Aquilar. Yulisa’s mother
and brother live in an adobe brick home with a dirt floor. It has two rooms accommodating five beds which are shared by
20 people. They cook over an open fire. They have a single water faucet outside as well. This is their only water source.
The family currently has no source of income.
Yulisa has brown hair and brown eyes. She comes to Por Los Niños with parasites and onemia.
Yulisa is a distant relative of Grisselda and Erlin, other children who live at Por Los Niños. They do not know each other,
but they soon will.
Yulisa is a beautiful child and will fit in easily at Por Los Niños.
