Kevin Alvarado

Kevin is doing great. He is in the 3rd grade this year. He loves school and makes good grades. He is
doing well with his English. He had an advantage with his English since he spent several months in the
U.S. He wants to help everyone. He works in the house for Rosmery, and outside with Armando, and in
the school for the teachers. He likes cars, trucks and robots.
Kevin Alvarado - Bio
When Kevin was first born, his mother dropped him. Shortly after this accident, his mother left him in the
weeds to die. A woman named Consuelo found him and raised him from that time. Consuelo has three
other children of her own. Her husband has recently left her and now she has to find work. She does not
feel that she can give the attention to Kevin that he needs. Kevin has had five surgeries on his leg and hip.
He is able to walk, but has a limp. When we took Kevin to the doctor, we were told that he had several
parasites, grade II malnutrition and is anemic. He also has a cold and cough. We are now treating him for
all of these things.
Today, Kevin is living in PLN I and likes having a bed of his own to sleep in. He has been riding one of the
bikes everyday. This is going to help strengthen his legs, but he just sees it as fun. Kevin is adjusting well.
Kevin is a wonderful little boy. When he smiles, which is often, he has huge dimples.
