Jorge and Olga have been at the
village since 1995! As every team has
an anchor, Jorge is PLN's village
anchor. Jorge and Olga will be
serving as house parents for Cottage
2, our new transitional living home.
Jorge also does some bookkeeping
and administrative tasks.
Edgar and Elda came to PLN in
2005. Coming from deep within the
mountains of Honduras, Edgar went
to  a local Bible college. He is good
in the garden and loves to laugh.
Elda is quiet but runs a tight ship.
They serve as house parents for
PLN 3.
Saul Armando Moreno and Rosmery Paz Oliva
are our newest house parents in PLN, Cottage 1.
Armando is 29 years old and was raised in
Catacamas.  He completed 6th grade in public
school. Later, he also completed a course of
study with Escuela Biblica Honduras.  Prior to
coming to PLN, he worked as an independent
businessman.

Rosmery Paz Oliva is 25 years old. She was also
raised in Catacamas. Her parents were first
houseparents at Por Los Niños circa 1993.
She has completed 10th grade in public school.
She worked as a hotel receptionist prior to joining
us at PLN. Would like to finish high school and
may enroll in night classes next year.
They have one child, Armando Andree. He's 5.  Both Armando and Rosmery teach
Bible class at the Colegio Church and have been active in leadership roles there for
several years.  They are doing an excellent job with the children at PLN 1.
Por los Ninos is truly blessed to have
added
Joel and Suyapa Castro to our
family in Catacamas. This couple,
along with their young son, Miguel
Angel, will be serving as
houseparents for PLN 4. Joel David
Castro Rodriguez is 35 years old and
grew up in Catacamas. Joel’s
parents served as house parents at
El Sembrador when he was growing
up.
He later worked for that mission as an adult. Joel has a number of skills which we are
already exploiting as much as possible. He is an experienced driver and is capable
both in the wood shop and metal shop. He attended the university for a year where he
studied psychology and would like to finish his degree one day. Meanwhile, he has
been helping his wife, Suyapa finish her degree.

Suyapa also grew up in Catacamas. She and Joel were married 3 years ago and their
son is one year old. Suyapa’s dad is very well know around Catacamas and has
gone out of his way more than once to help out with the PLN children. Suyapa is
herself very skilled and works as our computer instructor and sometime chauffer
along with her duties as house mom. Suyapa is also pretty comfortable conversing in
English. We are anxious for our supporters and board members to get to know these
folks. We are confident they all will love them as much as we do.
We will post new family pictures for all of the cottages at PLN very soon!
