Hector is very happy to have his own bed and toys. He’s much more reserved than his brother, Mauricio, but
he enjoys doing everything the older ones do. Suyapa says he’s awfully hard to keep clean. He really likes
playing in the wading pool, though he does not like washing his hair in the shower.
Hector Ramon Garcia Munguia - Bio
Hector entered Por Los Niños, Cottage 4 on April 3, 2009. He is 3 years old. Hector’s older brother, Jorge
Mauricio Munguia Molina also came to Por Los Niños the same day. Mauricio is 5 years old.
Mauricio and Hector have 4 older siblings who live with their mother. They are 8, 9, 12, and 14 years of age.
Their mother is Rosalina Munguia Molina. She is 37 years old and works as a domestic making $80 per
month. Hector’s father is Santos Arnaldo Garcia Acosta. He was abusive and abandoned the family. Their
mother and other siblings live in a mud/stick home with a dirt floor and a tin roof. It has one room
accommodating three beds. They have no cooking facilities. Their only water source is a community well.
Hector has brown hair and brown eyes. He comes to Por Los Niños with no existing health problems other
than his teeth needing some attention.
Hector and Mauricio were referred to Por Los Niños by a social worker and family court.
Hector is a beautiful child and will fit in easily at Por Los Niños.
