Eduin Hernandez

Eduin is all “boy”. He wants to be outside doing anything. He loves to ride bicycles and play in the water.
He is in the 2nd grade this year. He makes almost perfect grades. Each year, the children who do well in
school are able to participate in a reward trip to someplace special. He made sure he was able to go on
the reward trip this year. His mother brought him a hen one Sunday. Now that hen has five little chicks. He
is learning to take care of all of them.
Eduin Hernandez - Bio
Eduin’s came from a very sad situation. Eduin lived with his mother, a little brother and his mother’s
boyfriend. During this time his mother’s boyfriend was physically abusive with Eduin and his mother. They
had no running water, electricity or sanitary facilities. The home had a dirt floor and a leaking roof. They
had to cook outside over an open fire. Edwin was suffering from malnutrition, but otherwise was healthy.
However, he was allowed to run the streets at age three and had little to no supervision. All this changed
though when he moved to PLN II with Gorge and Olga. Now Edwin is a very polite boy with good manners.
He loves to run, play, laugh and occasionally get’s in to a bit of mischief. In other words, he is all boy!
