Cristofer is an all-around good kid. He is a great athlete, makes good grades and enjoys life. He is a
good example for our younger kids. He will graduate this year and hopes to continue his education. He
would also like to play soccer. During the summer break, December and January, he took English
classes. He enjoys driving. He drives as often as he can, hoping that one day he can get his license.
Cristofer Martinez - Bio
Cristofer came to Por Los Niños in November of 1992 out of a desperate situation, living in dire poverty.
Cristofer at 24 months old was not growing properly and was the size of 10 month old. He was unable to
walk or talk. He suffered from Grade I malnutrition, severe weight loss, parasites, scabies and
developmental delays. Because of Cristofer’s illnesses his mother lost her job. A kind member of the
church stepped in to provide her son rice, but it was not enough. Today Cristofer is a bright young man
and an accomplished soccer player. He excels in school, is hard working and is always willing to help.
Cristofer’s biggest goal right now is to learn English.
