Update June 29, 2009
Cristian had been living in a small single room house with 20 people before coming to Por Los Niños. He
seemed to feel a little bit lost in his big new house with half as many people. He was painfully shy and
withdrawn in the beginning, but is really happy now that he’s settled in. He is learning good manners and
respect. He’s bright and eager to please.
Cristian Roney Carrasco Marinez - Bio
Cristian entered Por Los Niños, Cottage 4 on March 30, 2009. He is 3 years old. His birthday is July 20,
2005.
Cristian has an older sister (8) and an older brother (9) who live with their mother and grandmother.
Cristian’s mother is Mirian Elizabeth Carrasco Meza. She is 29 years old and unemployed. Cristian’s father is
Alex Rivera. He is deceased. Cristian’s mother and other siblings live in an adobe brick home with a dirt
floor. It has two rooms accommodating five beds. They cook over an open fire outside. They have a single
water faucet outside as well. This is their only water source. The family currently has no source of income.
Cristian has brown hair and brown eyes. He comes to Por Los Niños with parasites, but no other significant
health problems.
Cristian is a distant relative of Grisselda and Erlin, other children who live at Por Los Niños. They do not
know each other, but they soon will.
Cristian is a beautiful child and will fit in easily at Por Los Niños.
